My Romance
Vocalese: She's Funny That Way
This was one of my favorite CDs to produce. We recorded the band in LA and the voices in Madrid.
Vocalese's founder, Javier Gallego is a great musical force for good and a dear friend.
Esperanca
Chuck Mangione:
Everything for Love
I played keyboards on this CD. We recorded in NYC after a week at the Blue Note.
Chuck and the band sounded great.
Kevin Mahogany: 2
Pride & Joy
I have been friends with Kevin since we met in 2000.
Since then we've toured and recorded a good deal.
Duke Ellington Orchestra: Third Generation
I recorded this CD at Systems Two recording studios in Brooklyn.
I got to record with some great musicians, Mark Gross on alto sax, Marty Morell on drums, Tommy James on piano and Barrie Lee Hall Jr - the last member of the band to have played with Duke himself.
Brian Bromberg:
In The Spirit Of Jobim
I wrote the orchestra arrangements and played piano on this CD.
The biggest thrill for me was when Airto Moriera unexpectedly decided to sing "Corcovado" with my string arrangement.
It is breath-taking.
Corcovado
Tim Hauser: Love Stories
I wrote string quartet arrangements for Tim's very romantic album.
The Manhattan Transfer
The Christmas Album
I wrote an acapella arrangement of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" for TMT. Since a studio orchestra was to be added to my vocal arrangement, Johnny Mandel needed to make some changes to my original vocal arrangement. He very respectfully asked me to come to his house to play through my chart. We've been friends since then.
Tonin'
I worked with Arif Mardin on this CD. He was a true gentleman and the man I model myself after as a producer.
Spirit of St. Louis
I wrote the vocal arrangement to Sugar on this CD. Very "campy" but fun.
Vibrate
I surrounded Gene Puerling's beautiful vocal arrangement of "Embraceable You" with string quartet and piano.
An Acappella Christmas
I wrote an a capella arrangement of "Winter Wonderland" on this CD.
Couldn't Be Hotter Telarc
I wrote the arrangement of "My Foolish Heart" for TMT on the occasion of Tony Bennett's induction into the Singer's Hall Of Fame. It is loosely based on the way Tony performed it with Bill Evans. I'm very proud of the fact that at the event Tony recognized my intention and went out of his way to congratulate me on it.
The Symphony Sessions
For the past several years, I have written TMT's symphony arrangements. This recording features 6 of them. I recorded and conducted the City Of Prague Symphony. What a joy.
Quietude
Chick Corea Songbook
I am most proud of the fact that I was the first guy to get TMT to sing in Spanish!
Prelude in Spanish
Cheryl Bentyne
Something Cool
I worked with Mark Isham on this CD. I am very proud of my string quartet arrangements of the title track "Something Cool" and Kurt Weil's "Lonely House".
Lonely House
Waltz for Debby
Working with bassist Ray Drummond and for the second time with Kenny Barron was a joy. They're both great players and a ball to be around.
The Book Of Love
I'm very proud of this CD. This features a beautiful vocal arrangement by Mark Kibble, the City of Prague Symphony, John Pizzarelli, the LA Jazz Trio and many fine soloists.
You Don't Know Me
Songs Of Our Time
Jazzish renditions of pop hits. Cheryl Bentyne's most successful CD to date.
Cole Porter Songbook
Working with James Moody, Octavio Bailey, Doug Webb, Chris Tedesco and the LA Jazz Trio was a blast. I also got to play the banjo on this CD. Ahhhh.
My Heart Belongs To Daddy
George Gershwin Songbook
Producing a Gershwin CD is a daunting task. It's hard not to feel like it's all been done before. With that said, I feel like we showed the variety and sincerity of Gershwin's music.
Summertime

Dave Tull:
I Just Wanna Get Paid
Dave writes smart, well-composed, jazz informed original songs - some funny, some poignant and all great. It is always a joy to work with him.
I wrote three string arrangements for this CD as I was driving across the country back to LA. I am proud to say that the other two arrangers on this CD were Jorge Calandrelli and Pat Williams.
Make You Happy
Jimmy Demers: Dream A Little
Jimmy's brother - Donnie wrote an absolutely beautiful song called "It's A Lonely World" for which I wrote an arrangement for strings and French horn.
Lonely World
Sly De Moya: Sly And The Latin Bars
Sly's family is my family. I love the Dominican Republic. The people are warm the land is beautiful and the music is great. I produced this band's debut CD featuring, Otmaro Ruiz and Jose Negroni.
